Ames Construction, Inc. began operations in 1960 in Burnsville, Minnesota. As one of the United States' largest heavy civil and industrial design-build general contractors, we serve clients in many industries.

We take pride in our reputation for quality construction of airports, bridges, highways, rail lines, mining, power plants, water treatment plants, dams, commercial sites, and golf courses.

Ames Construction is also experienced in flood control, environmental site remediation, reclamation and landfill work, and has worked on some of our nation's largest infrastructure projects.

Our areas of expertise also include mine development, mine facility construction, contract mining, reclamation work, landfill construction, and environmental remediation.

Our staff includes experts in many skills fundamental to our type of construction capabilities. This allows us to self-perform major portions of the work on our projects.
