2012 Concrete Excellence Award
The Montana Contractors' Association recognized Ames Construction with the "2012 Concrete Excellence Award" for work on the Lower Yellowstone Fish Diversion Dam. The project has won first prize in the "Bridges and Agricultural Concrete" category.

Ames joint venture, A & W Highway Contractors, received the 2012 National Award of Merit from the DBIA for work done on 11400 South in Utah
2012 Build Arizona Award
Ames Construction has won the 2012 Build Arizona Award, in the category of Public Renovation Highway Construction projects Over $10 million. This award, given by the AGC of Arizona was for work done on the Hohokam Expressway project.
2012 Project of the Year
Ames Construction was awarded Project of the Year by the City Engineers Association of Minnesota for work on the Bass Lake Road (CSAH 101 to Vicksburg Lance) reconstruction project in Maple Grove, Minnesota.
2011 Award of Excellence for Water Resources and Outstanding Project of the Year
The Rocky Mountain Chapter of the American Concrete Institute has awarded Ames Construction with the 2011 Award of Excellence for Water Resources and Outstanding Project of the Year for work done on the Reuter Hess Dam and Reservoir enlargement project.
2011 Best Safety Performance - Tailings
Ames Construction was awarded the 2011 Best Safety Performance by the RioTinto for work at the Kennecott Copper Tailings Dam in Utah.
2011 Excellence in Concrete
Ames Construction was awarded the 2011 Excellence in Concrete by the New Mexico Chapter of the American Concrete Institute for double tracking work done on Abo Canyon.
2011 Appreciation and Extraordinary Service
Ames Construction was awarded the 2011 Appreciation for Extraordinary service by the Sandy Club "A safe place for Boys and Girls"
2011 Top 30 Supplier Award
Ames Construction was awarded the Top 30 Supplier Award, by RioTinto for work done at Rio Tinto's Kennecott Utah Copper Mine.

The Nevada Mining Association awarded Ames Construction with a, second place, best overall safety rating in the Contractors division.

Ames Construction has been honored with the 2011 Award of Merit from the Utah Safety Council for outstanding safety performance.
The 2011 Occupant Protection Award
Ames earned this award for 100% seat belt usage rate. To attain this award, over 100 vehicles, commercial and light duty, maintained 100% compliance.
2011 DBIA RMR Design-Build Project of the Year
Ames Construction was awarded the 2011 DBIA Project of the Year for work on 11400 South, State Street to Bangerter on the New I-15 Interchange in Utah.

2010 ARTBA-TBF Annual Globe Award Winner
Ames Construction was awarded a 2009 Globe Award, Highway Category, for the Happy Valley Road project. The Southwest Region office accepted the award.
2010 TOP CLOD Award for Partnering Excellence
Ames Construction was awarded the 2010 TOP CLOD award for grading work done on the 106 Thedford Viaduct by the Nebraska Department of Roads.
2010 Employer of the Year
Ames Construction was presented Employer of the Year by the Operating Engineers Joint Apprenticeship for Utah.
2010 Arizona Transportation Award for Partnering Excellence
Ames Construction was awarded the 2010 Arizona Transportation Award for Partnering Excellence for the Happy Valley Road - 67th Avenue to Lake Pleasant Parkway construction project. The Ames Southwest Region office accepted the award.
2010 APWA Project of the Year Award
Ames Construction was awarded the 2010 APWA Project of the Year Award (environmental projects over $75 million) for the All American Canal project. The Southwest Region office accepted the award.

The US-6 Milepost 200 Bridge Replacement project in Utah County, Utah was awarded Best Transportation Project of 2009 by Intermountain Contractor Magazine (a McGraw-Hill publication)
2009 Federal Highway Administration Environmental Excellence Award
FHWA environmental excellence awards honor partners, projects and processes that excel in meeting growing transportation needs while protecting and enhancing the environment. The award honors the Ames Construction built Martin Olav Sabo Bridge, a Midtown Greenway cable-stayed bridge in Minneapolis.
2009 Industry Achievement Award: The Harry H. Edwards Award for Best Sustainable Design and Best Design Using a Total-Precast System
The Harry H. Edwards Award for Best Sustainable Design and Best Design Using a Total-Precast System: The State Highway 58 Ramp A Flyover Bridge in Golden, CO. The component was designed by Summit Engineering in Littleton, CO. and CH2M Hill in Englewood, CO. Ames Construction was the general contractor with precast concrete components supplied by Encon Bridge Co. LLC in Denver, CO.
2009 Public Works Project of the Year
The Olathe, KS Grade Separation Project was selected as the APWA - Kansas City Metro Chapter - 2009 Public Works Project of the Year.
2009 ACEC Honor Award
Awarded to the Zumbro River Constructors (Ames Construction) team for the TH212/CR110 Design-Build Project - Bridge Foundation Study and Monitoring.

The Sauk Rapids Regional Bridge construction was voted as one of the 7 best projects in the advancement of engineering. This award was open to any type of facility (much broader than just transportation projects).

The Martin Olav Sabo cable-stayed bridge project was named one of the seven wonders awards. In addition, it was voted as the Grand Champion project of the 7 wonders. Ames Construction was the only company to have 2 projects in the top 7 field.

Ames Construction was presented the Platinum Award for being 25% below the national average for the company's "Total Recordable Incident Rate" in the State of Utah for 2008.

Awarded by UDOT to A&W Highway Contractor (JV of Ames Construction and Wadsworth Brothers.) This was the southern 5.2 miles of the Green field new parkway project tying into I-215.
