ESTIMATOR position is available at our Burnsville, MN corporate office. We are looking for an individual with 3-plus years of construction experience and an estimating background in grading, structures and underground work. Candidate must be self-motivated and able to work in a team environment. Position requires a Bachelor of Science Degree in CE or CM, strong interpersonal skills to interface with owner representatives, engineering firms, subcontractors, other team members and senior management. Position involves analysis of plans and specifications, computer-aided preparation of quantity take-offs, verification of site conditions, review of construction methods and equipment utilization, assist in preparing bid documents and developing construction schedules.

Successful candidate will be assigned to the regional office, or to a project location in the Rocky Mountain Region. Travel is approximately 50%.

Position will manage Crew Chief and Survey Party according to workload. Qualified candidate must have 5 years experience as a licensed Surveyor; an Engineering or construction management degree preferred. ENGINEER INTERN positions, part-time and full-time, are available in Utah and Nevada. Applicants must be attending civil, mechanical or mining engineer or construction management school. Must have a good understanding, technical background and course of study related to highway construction, mass earthworks, and underground piping associated with civil and mechanical designs. Computer skills are essential. Training in estimating, project control, scheduling, quantity tracking and budgeting, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills are a plus. Contractor is willing to work with motivated persons and their school schedules. Positions are an internship with the potential to advance within the company to full-time after secondary school is completed.
