SITE SAFETY INTERN position is immediately available at our Hampton, IA project. This is a field position and reports directly to the Regional Safety Manager. The intern will monitor day-to-day construction operations for potential safety hazards, conduct new hire orientations and safety briefings. Light travel may be involved. Candidate must be familiar heavy civil construction, OSHA and MSHA requirements and possess excellent communication skills. An associate degree is preferred. This is a great opportunity for someone working towards a construction degree or interested in construction safety.

Oiler

Responsibilities include changing oil on heavy equipment and Mack trucks, report meter readings weekly and other equipment support. Candidate must be detail oriented and have excellent communication skills. Position requires a minimum of 8 years working experience and a degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management. Knowledge of Primavera, HCSS and Microsoft Work and Excel desired.

Surveying Technician

This position is geographically located out of the Phoenix office, but will cover projects throughout the State and surrounding areas. Position requires short term and overnight travel. Position will manage Crew Chief and Survey Party according to workload. Qualified candidate must have 5 years experience as a licensed Surveyor; an Engineering or construction management degree preferred. Possess working experience with heavy civil construction and utilities, detail to concrete layout, drafting, slope staking and modeling. Experience operating Total Station Instruments, AutoCAD, GPS Systems, and Robotic systems required.

ENGINEER INTERN positions, part-time and full-time, are available in Utah and Nevada. Applicants must be attending civil, mechanical or mining engineer or construction management school. Must have a good understanding, technical background and course of study related to highway construction, mass earthworks, and underground piping associated with civil and mechanical designs. Computer skills are essential. Training in estimating, project control, scheduling, quantity tracking and budgeting, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills are a plus. Contractor is willing to work with motivated persons and their school schedules. Positions are an internship with the potential to advance within the company to full-time after secondary school is completed.
