Synopsis of Work:

Construction of the north tailings dam expansion drain blanket. Included crushing and placement of 1,000,000 tons of slag used to construct finger drains under the tailings embankment. Work included construction of seven miles of haul road using 700,000 cubic yards of slag, and 1,100,000 cubic yards of sand for protective cover for the drain blanket. Also included 6,400 linear feet of 28-dia. HDPE pipe, and 3,200 linear feet of rubber-lined steel pipe.
