Mining

Ames Construction has been extensively involved in mine development, facility construction, contract mining and mine reclamation work for many large mining companies. Our projects range from pre-production stripping contracts, to turnkey mine development through mine closure contracts, to complicated structural and mechanical modifications and renovations of existing processing facilities.

We have completed a number of remediation projects involving the cleanup of soils and groundwater at sites contaminated by prior industrial use. Ames teams have also constructed a number of earthfill dam projects for flood control, water supply and hydroelectric power applications. These structures require careful selection and placement of embankment materials, processing of graded materials for filters and erosion protection, and extensive quality control efforts.
