REGIONAL SAFETY MANAGER is available out of our Canada region. This position is geographically located out of the Alberta, Calgary office, but will cover projects in the Western provinces. The Regional Safety Manager will monitor day-to-day construction operations and assist management in identifying potential safety hazards to personnel or company property. Responsibilities include; conduct frequent jobsite audits at construction projects and conduct safety training to employees and management. This individual must be able to work effectively with clients as well as subcontractors. Candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction safety, practicing knowledge of OSHA and MSHA requirements and construction management practices. Qualified candidate must have 10 years experience of managing a department during the procurement and execution phases of large and complex civil and industrial projects. SAFETY & HR COORDINATOR position is available out of our Midwest Region, located in Burnsville, MN. This position will report directly to the Regional Safety Manger. Responsibilities include; conduct new hire orientations, administer drug screens, maintain DOT files and driver medical cards, assist in dispatching field craft positions and work with local unions, maintain training data base and other assigned duties. Candidate must have 5-years experience in an administrative role, excellent written and verbal skills and able to multi-task. Maintain a high degree of confidentiality and able to work will all levels within the organization. Possess self-motivation and proficiency in MS Word applications. Knowledge of construction industry is a plus.

Assistance Director of Safety & Health

Region: Corporate/Midwest

Description:
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF SAFETY & HEALTH position is available out of our Corporate office, located in Minnesota. The Director will oversee and direct all aspects of our safety and health program, including program development, safety management, audits, risk assessment, DOT compliance, training and the supervision of a staff of safety professions located at various locations. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Risk Management. To be considered, candidates must have a minimum of 7 years experience in heavy civil construction safety and the comprehension of applicable OSHA and DOT requirements. Individual must possess excellent written, communication and strong managerial skills. Strong computer and presentations skills are required. An ASP/CSP or bachelor degree is preferred. Some travel is required. Experience with railroads and mining is a plus.

Responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and assigning work to crew members including but not limited to: footing, wall and column forming, structural deck forms, layout and anchorage systems. Foreman must have the ability to exert heavy physical effort, handling average weight objects up to 80 pounds, maintain high levels of efficiency without sacrificing safety and quality, solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists, and be physically able to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb or crawl. Candidates must have minimum of 5 years experience in a Carpenter Foreman role with Heavy/Highway Civil Construction Projects. Experience working on bridges, dams, and utility structures required.

GRADE FOREMAN positions are available out of our Midwest Region. These positions will cover Minnesota, North Dakota and surrounding areas, including short/long term travel. Responsibilities include reading, measuring and staking grade, TOPO surveys, and observe or modify all excavating activities. Possess experience in the construction industry managing and training dirt crews and maximizing efficiency. Candidate must have 5 years experience in a supervisory role, construction survey and grade staking procedures and proficient with Trimble GPS system and software and Total Station.

Project Engineer

PROJECT ENGINEER/MANAGER position is available in Denver, Colorado regional office. This position will be responsible for all aspects of project management including estimating, project control, scheduling, quantity tracking, budgeting/cost control and tracking, processing submittals, RFIs, change orders, subcontract administration, owner correspondence and billing, quality tracking and safety requirements. Structures Bridge Estimator

Heavy Equipment Mechanic

HEAVY EQUIPMENT MECHANIC position is available at our Phoenix, AZ mechanical shop. Responsibilities include performing maintenance and repairs on vehicles, heavy equipment, basic wiring, hydraulics and welding. Candidate must have 5 years experience working on Mack trucks and heavy equipment. A valid CDL with tanker and HAZMAT endorsements is required. PROJECT SUPERINTENDENT position is available out of our Western Region. This position is geographically located in Salt Lake City, Utah, but cover projects in the surrounding states. Responsibilities include develop and monitor day-to-day project operations, budget and schedule, quality control, safety, work delegation, ensuring contractors performance and projects are completed on-time. This position will assume a leadership/mentor role and provide guidance to project staff and managers. Qualified candidates must have a minimum of 15-years experience as a Superintendent, Project Manager or related supervisory role, experience managing hydroelectric power projects and knowledge of construction budgeting in large civil capacity. Possess management, superior organizational and technical skills. Must be flexible to travel throughout the United States. A bachelors degree in civil engineering or construction management/technology is preferred.
