Clear Fuels Refinery
During construction of this renewable resource plant, Ames was awarded additional work, expanding the contact to nine times the original scope.
Ames was initially contracted to build the civil portion of the extension for the biofuels refinery, which included demolition, excavation, concrete foundations and paving, and the erection of structural steel on the site. During construction of this renewable resource plant, Ames was awarded additional work, expanding the contact to nine times the original scope. Additional packages completed during the life of the project included a mechanical piping package, a compressor pad, a civil / mechanical wastewater package, and the erection of a wastewater building.
Working in tight spaces and numerous overhead obstructions, Ames crews performed two-crane picks of the process manufacturing machinery as part of the mechanical package.
The final work performed by Ames included a General Master Services Agreement for site support and tail gas piping for residual gases from the processing of fuels.
