Ames Construction built the Acme, Carolina Lily, Lee, Lucky, Plott Hound, and Sweet Tea solar projects in North Carolina, with PV arrays totaling 35.7 MWdc. Site components included thin film modules, either single-axis tracking or fixed-tilt racking systems, and 150kW string inverters. Ames was responsible for the civil, mechanical, and electrical installation scopes of each project, all of which interconnect to the Duke Energy Carolinas distribution grid. The projects were completed in May 2021.
