With the 2022 contract award from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to build the Red River Structure, Ames Construction is building three critical components of the historic Fargo-Moorhead Metro Area Flood Risk Management Project.

Situated seven miles south of Fargo, North Dakota, the Red River Structure will be the largest of three gated structures on the project’s southern embankment. During extreme flooding, the three structures will play a key role in regulating floodwaters through the metro area and releasing water into a 30-mile-long diversion channel on the metro’s far western edge.

Ames wants to express our gratitude to all the stakeholders, owners team, vendors, subcontracts and coworkers for helping move these projects forward.
