Ames Construction built a 270 MWdc PV array in northwest Indiana that is capable of producing enough clean electricity to power the equivalent of more than 36,000 households. Site components include bifacial modules, a single-axis tracking system, and central inverters interconnecting to a 34.5/345kV substation that interconnects to an Indiana utility’s transmission system.
Ames provided engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) services on this project, self-performing civil, mechanical, and PV electrical installation scopes and providing oversight of the high-voltage substation installation. Anticipated completion April 2023.
