Synopsis of work:

Design-Build

Ames Construction led this design-build project, which consisted of engineering, procurement, and construction of a shallow well field with a booster pumping station. Construction of the pumping station included installation of a 200-hp vertical-turbine pump and six 400-hp vertical-turbine pumps.

The project scope also included installation of 24-inch diameter piping (carbon steel, ductile iron, and HDPE), 18-inch diameter HDPE pipe, 20-inch diameter HDPE pipe, and construction of a 3 1/2 acre water storage pond. Mechanical piping included installation of large diameter pneumatic and electrically activated valves. The project also included 2,000 cubic yard of self-performed structural concrete application.
