Qualifications

Carpenter Foreman

Responsibilities

  • Scheduling, coordinating, and assigning work to crew members including, but not limited to: footing, wall and column forming, structural deck forms, layout and anchorage systems
  • Exert heavy physical effort, handling average weights of up to 80 pounds
  • Able to kneel, stoop, crouch, balance, climb, or crawl
  • Maintain high levels of efficiency without sacrificing safety and quality
  • Solve practical problems
  • Deal with a variety of situations where only limited standardization exists

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Carpenter Foreman role in heavy highway, civil construction projects
  • Experience working on bridges, dams, and utility structures required

Civil Superintendent

Region: Corporate/Midwest
Location: Minnesota

Description:

CIVIL SUPERINTENDENT position is available out of our Corporate office in Minnesota. This position is located out of Burnsville, MN, but may cover projects in the surrounding states and may include short or long term travel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead an effective disciplined team, delegate responsibilities and ensure production of high-quality work
  • Assist in the training and development of craft personnel and enforce company policies, procedures, industry standards and client expectations
  • Monitor job schedules, track and coordinate work with subcontractors
  • Inform Project Management of potential schedule difficulties
  • Ensure construction complies with specifications and contractual requirements
  • Adhere to budgetary guidelines and ensure cost control measures are followed
  • Identify safety hazards and take corrective action

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a foreman or supervisor in highway heavy construction managing crews of 20 or more people
  • Well-rounded understanding of cost management processes, planning, and scheduling
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to perform under schedule restraints
  • Highly detail-oriented as prioritization is crucial in this role

Grade Foreman

Region: Corporate/Midwest
Location: Minnesota

Description:

GRADE FOREMAN positions are available out of our office in Burnsville, Minnesota. This position will cover Minnesota, North Dakota and the surrounding areas, including short and long term travel.

Responsibilities

  • Reading, measuring and staking grade
  • TOPO surveys
  • Observe or modify all excavating activities

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory role
  • Possess experience in the construction industry
  • Previous experience managing and training dirt crews and maximizing efficiency
  • Experience with construction survey and grade staking procedures
  • Proficient with Trimble GPS system software and Total Station

Project Engineer

Region: Corporate/Midwest
Location: Minnesota

Description:

PROJECT ENGINEER position is available out of our Corporate office. This position is located in Burnsville, MN, but may assist with projects throughout the surrounding states.

Responsibilities

  • Identify critical work items
  • Procure long-lead items
  • Resolve field problems and conflicts with subcontractors
  • Manage document control, submittals schedules and contract documents
  • Monitor quality control
  • Oversee project safety and environmental requirements
  • Assist with monthly billings, cash flow projections, change orders and project material and equipment
  • Build relationships and communicate with owners and partners
  • Provide support to Project Manager’s and project staff
  • Perform other duties as appropriately assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in highway heavy construction
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • Knowledge of Primavera desired
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills

Project Manager

PROJECT MANAGER position is available out of our Corporate office. This position is located in Burnsville, MN, but may manage projects in the surrounding states.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Project Engineer’s and project staff
  • Report project development and budget to Field Operations Managers
  • Serve as project representative at client meetings, job walks and project reviews
  • Provide monthly billings, cash flow projections and process change orders
  • Secure necessary project order approvals
  • Build relationships with jobsite personnel, clients and subcontractors
  • Perform other duties as appropriately assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Project Manager in heavy highway construction
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook
