Interns will receive the opportunity to gain hands-on work experience and guidance while establishing professional contacts in the industry. Pile Machine Operator

DESCRIPTION:

PILE MACHINE OPERATOR position is available to join the Renewable Energy Division. These positions are located at our project in Modoc, Indianapolis. Responsibilities include performing safe and efficient operation of pile driving machine, driving production pile, ensuring quality of installation to code and specifications. Use levels and other various surveying equipment and the ability to understand and accomplish productivity goals. Must be accustomed to working outdoors in all weather conditions. Electrical Executive

DESCRIPTION:

ELECTRICAL EXECUTIVE position is available to join the Renewable Energy Division at our Corporate office in Burnsville, MN. The Electrical Executive will ensure that all estimates, schedules, constructability reviews, value engineering efforts, procurement efforts, contracting, engineering oversight, customer relationship and overall project execution are in alignment with company goals while exceeding customer expectations. This position will communicate plans and strategizes closely with the senior management and operational support personnel.

This position will manage, coordinate and oversee the delivery of high voltage phases of renewable energy projects and providing leadership. Seeking a skilled professional in renewable energy who is highly organized, detail oriented individual who is looking to excel in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for total project delivery for renewable energy construction projects
  • Lead high voltage team
  • Builds relationships with vendors, suppliers, engineering partners, customers and other company departments to resolve issues during design and/or pre-bid phases

BUS DRIVER position is available to join our Renewable Energy Division. This position is located at our project in Modoc, Indianapolis. Seeking drivers who are experienced, compliant under FMCSA/DOT regulations and safely operate while working in high traffic and construction area sites.

Responsibilities

  • Safety transport workers on designated route
  • Communicate with project staff
  • Obey traffic laws and state and federal regulations

DESCRIPTION:

LEAD ESTIMATOR position is available out of our Corona, CA office. The Lead Estimator will organize a strategic plan for pursuit of identified projects, supervise the preparation of bids and preliminary schedules to assist in the estimating process.

Responsibilities

  • Provide cost estimation on projects
  • Prepare estimates by gathering proposals, blueprints, specifications and related documents
  • Identify and compute labor, material, time and costs by analyzing specifications
  • Compare and analyze competitive subcontractor and supplier quotes and estimates with project management
  • Prepare estimates at different levels of completion
  • Close public agency bids including subcontractor and material quote analysis and selection

REQUIREMENTS:

Qualifications

PROJECT MANAGER position is available out of our Corona, CA office. The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall administration and coordination of his/her assigned project for timely and profitable completion in a professional manner. Insure the Company and Owner goals are met. Exercise best judgement when authorizing cost and schedule matters as necessary.

Project Manager Role

  • Develop and maintain owner relations and contract administration
  • Manage assigned office and project engineers, including training and development
  • Insure all field operations are consistent with budgetary goals and outline operations consistent with production efficiency, strategic direction and overall path towards project completion
  • Schedule and facilitate all project meetings required to successfully coordinate work activity; including company, subcontractors, and owner
  • Provide administrative and technical leadership for the project
  • Manage accurate contract documents, including specifications, drawings, addenda, and changes to the work
  • Supervise all activities related to contract administration, field operations, change orders, submittals, procurement, and schedule

We have an immediate opening for a DOT Compliance Coordinator at our Corporate office in Burnsville, MN. This position will work with applicants, employees and managers to ensure compliance with local, federal and state laws, regulations and company policies.

The Compliance Coordinator will monitor DOT and FRA drug testing protocol, employment verification and reporting are compliant and in accordance with FMSCA regulations. Monitor the Company DOT score, evaluate procedures, and communicate new regulations. Work directly with the Corporate Safety and Human Resources Department and collaborate with regional managers. Preconstruction Engineer - Solar

PRE-CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER position is available to join the Renewable Energy Division at our Corporate office in Burnsville, MN. Project sites are located across the U.S. This position will support the daily tasks within the pre-construction team, but include an emphasis on solar PV modeling and design. We’re seeking a skilled professional in renewable energy who is a self-starter, highly organized, detail oriented and looking to grow within in a dynamic environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for assisting with the pre-construction stage of renewable energy construction projects.
  • Support the Project Management team as required during the construction phase.
  • Builds relationships with designers, vendors, suppliers, customers and other partners to resolve issues during design and/or pre-bid phases.
  • Establish PV basis of design including but not limited to; Capex equipment optimization, string sizing, ground coverage ratio, power factor requirements, inverter loading ratio, cable sizing, etc.
  • Review bid drawings, specifications and all other construction related documents and communicate issues, accuracy of information, and potential risks.
  • Regularly participate in design meetings and contribute to the development of scope-of-work documents.
  • Create preliminary solar design packages, including 1-line diagrams, array layouts, fence layout, grading plans and road layout. (up to 30% completion)
  • Utilize PVSyst software in support of performance modeling.
  • Perform string size calculations and cable loss calculations
  • Understand utility PPA and interconnection requirements.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field is preferred.

Electrical Superintendent - Solar

ELECTRICAL SUPERINTENDENT position is available to join the Renewable Energy Division at our Corporate office in Burnsville, MN. Project sites are located across the U.S. This position will manager provide coordination, planning, and supervision to the Assistant Electrical Superintendents, Foremen, and craft personnel on renewable energy projects. Seeking a skilled professional in renewable energy who is highly organized, detail oriented individual and looking to excel in a dynastic environment.

The Electrical Superintendent will be assigned to project sites across the U.S. This position will provide coordination, planning, and supervision to the Assistant Electrical Superintendents, Foremen, and craft personnel. Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to coordinating projects within the electrical scope of the renewable energy project and overseeing electrical craft personnel.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate Projects -

  • Project coordination within the civil, mechanical and electrical scope of the solar project
  • Obtain high-quality installation of the project, including pile installation, tracker and racking installation and module installation
  • Provide drawing, constructability, submittal reviews, and feedback with the pre-construction team, verifying quality of materials, equipment, and workmanship conforms to specifications and updates of each contract document
  • Oversee the self-perform installation of all low and medium voltage systems incorporated on a solar project.
  • Work with project team in development of project schedules, updates, and creation of a 3 week look-ahead
  • Mange quality control of work teams, including self-performed work guaranteeing the necessary resources and support is available
  • Participate in project meetings, providing liaison between Field Engineers and craft personnel ensuring electrical components of each project comply with drawings and specifications
  • Aid in the development of Standard Work
  • Lead project safety culture on project

Oversight of Electrical Craft Personnel -

  • Review and monitor procurement of resources, methods, staffing, look-ahead schedules and coordination with other site activities
  • Collaborate with engineering staff ensuring plans, specifications, submittals and RFIs are transmitted accurately and in a timely manner
  • Coach, mentor and train field personnel, Foremen, and Assistant Superintendents
